Dear Friends,
The period between Ascension Day and Pentecost is one of the most important in the Church’s year. In it we pray with particular and focused intensity for God to renew the gift of the Holy Spirit to the Church. During these nine days, it can be helpful to have some additional help in praying in this way. In recent years, this has blossomed into a global event called ‘Thy Kingdom Come’.
I do encourage you to seek out resources that help you to pray for God’s Holy Spirit to be given anew to the Church and to ourselves during this time. To help you, we have uploaded some specific resources that you can find at:

I will certainly be praying daily that God will give St Nicholas Church a fresh anointing of the Holy Spirit, pressed down and running over, that our shared life of faith may be filled with light and joy, and that we may grow in depth and in numbers in the coming days and months.
