The church building is currently closed. We are not permitted to conduct Weddings, Baptisms or Funerals in church until further notice. If you have questions about these services, or any other aspect of our church life, please get in touch and we will do our best to help. St Nicholas’ clergy are still available to conduct funeral services, but are only able to do so at the graveside or in the Crematorium, where the Government’s guidelines on numbers attending will need to be observed. Please see below for information about how to organise a Wedding under less unusual circumstances.

darryl_heatherWe’re always pleased to hear from couples who are interested in getting married in the church.

Getting Married Here
Find out everything you need to know about getting married at St Nicholas’ Church or get in touch with our Parish Administrator who can help you with your enquiry.

Wedding Banns
If you live in the parish but you’re marrying in a church elsewhere, you’ll usually need to have your banns read here.

Reception Venue
The newly built St Nicholas Centre, which adjoins the church, is a bright, contemporary space. The upstairs room, which is suitable for up to 49 people, is ideal for a wedding breakfast or small wedding reception. We can also offer changing space within the St Nicholas Centre. Please enquire for availability and pricing.
