Venue Hire

We have two rooms for hire in the newly built St Nicholas Centre.

  • Blenkin Room
    Upstairs is the Blenkin Room, a large, light and open space for up to 49 people. This versatile room lends its self to anything from training courses to wedding receptions.
  • Jackson Room
    Downstairs is the Jennifer Jackson Room, a space for up to 20 people which is popular for meetings.

How to Hire Our Rooms
It’s best to talk to us first to find out if we can accommodate you. You can do this by telephoning 01522 540614 or emailing stnicholaslincoln@gmail.com.

If the time and date is available, we can usually pencil you in right away. We’ll then ask you to complete a booking form. Once you’ve returned your completed form, we will confirm your booking.

We have different booking forms for different event types:

  • Corporate Events
    For business meetings, corporate away days, training sessions, courses and conferences etc.
  • Private Events
    For children’s birthday parties, post baptism parties, wedding breakfasts, family reunions etc.
  • Public Events
    If you’re inviting members of the public to attend a performance, such as a concert, you will need to complete this form.
  • Regular Classes
    We can also accommodate regular classes. Please contact us for further information.

Hiring the Church
The church is available for hire, by special arrangement, as a concert venue. If you’d like more information, please speak to our Parish Administrator.

Food & Drink

  • Refreshments
    Our on-site team can supply tea, coffee, cold drinks and biscuits for your event. Get in touch to discuss the various options and pricing.
  • Professional Catering
    Serving lunch? We don’t have a kitchen of our own and we don’t arrange catering, but can put you in touch with experienced local caterers directly.
  • Self Catering
    Are your delegates bringing their own lunch or are you laying on a homemade buffet for your party? Self catering is welcomed here but we do ask that food hygiene is taken seriously. See our Hire Agreement for more details.
  • Alcohol
    If you intend to serve (and charge for) alcohol at public events, it’s important that you obtain our permission first and follow the relevant licensing laws. Visit the council website to find out more about licences.

Facilities

  • WiFi (Internet Access)
    WiFi is available throughout the St Nicholas Centre. Please request the password from our Parish Administrator.
  • Projector & Flip Chart
    A flip chart is available at no extra charge,and you can make use of our projector for a small fee.
  • Toilets
    The Blenkin Room has its own toilet upstairs. There are additional ladies’ toilets downstairs, and a gents’/disabled toilet with baby-change facilities downstairs. If you’re using the church, you will also find a disabled toilet with baby-change facilities in the base of the tower.
  • Workshop/Break Out Rooms
    As well as the main rooms we have available for hire, we can make smaller workshop spaces available by special arrangement.

Accessibility

  • Entering the St Nicholas Centre
    Access to the building is level. Doors are operated manually. There are two steps up to the Jennifer Jackson Room, and a staircase to the Blenkin Room.
  • Stair Lift
    We have a stair lift to improve access to the Blenkin Room. This takes a wheelchair or seated person. Please ask for instructions on how to use the lift.
  • Disabled Toilets
    There is a disabled toilet in the St Nicholas Centre

Setting Up for Your Event
When planning your booking, please contact the Parish Administrators to discuss access for setting up.
