Welcome to the home page of
St. Nicholas Church, Lincoln.
The parish of St. Nicholas with St. John, Newport, lies about half a mile north of Lincoln Cathedral, straddling the Roman road of Ermine Street, in "up-hill" Lincoln.
St. Nicholas is unashamedly traditional in worship and ministry. We seek to provide generous hospitality, materially and spiritually, by being a welcoming and inclusive Christian community.
Worship is centred on the Eucharist. Daily Prayer is said at 8.30 am on Monday and Wednesday; Evening Prayer is said at 4.45 pm on Tuesday and Thursday. Sunday worship comprises: 8.30 am - The Eucharist (said); 10.00 am - The Parish Eucharist (sung); 6.30 pm - Choral Evensong. The Eucharist is also celebrated on Wednesdays at 9.30 am.
Other regular worship includes St. Nick's Nippers, a weekly pram service offering worship, coffee and friendship to young children and those who care for them.
The church is open daily 10.00 am - 11.00 am.
