Welcome to the home page of
St. Nicholas Church, Lincoln.
The parish of St. Nicholas with St. John, Newport, lies about half a mile north of Lincoln Cathedral, straddling the Roman road of Ermine Street, in "up-hill" Lincoln.
St. Nicholas is unashamedly traditional in worship and ministry. We seek to provide generous hospitality, materially and spiritually, by being a welcoming and inclusive Christian community.
Worship is centred on the Eucharist. Morning and Evening Prayer are said daily. Sunday worship comprises: 8.30 am - The Eucharist (said); 10.00 am - The Parish Eucharist (sung); 6.30 pm - Evensong (sung). The Eucharist is also celebrated on Wednesdays at 9.30 am.
Other regular worship includes Prayers for Wholeness and Healing, with the laying on of hands, and St. Nick's Nippers, a weekly pram service offering worship, coffee and friendship to young children and those who care for them.
The church is open daily 10.00 am - 11.00 am.
