The English Heritage Angel Awards Certificate.
Each year English Heritage run a competition supported by the Daily Telegraph and co-funded by the Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation. The competition is divided into four sections and our builders, Robert Woodhead Ltd., entered us in the section for "the best rescue or repair of a place of worship", hence the wording on the certificate. We were eligible not because of the state of the church, but because of the state of our church hall, the Blenkin Hall, before we sold it!
We did not win the section competition, but have been awarded the certificate in recognition of the quality of our project, which in part replaces the Blenkin Hall and which we are now calling the St. Nicholas Centre. The certificate is on display in the Centre.
