Gadabout members old and new braved the cold on St Valentine’s Day to wander in the winter sunshine through a dazzling display of snowdrops, followed by some very welcome refreshments.

Hackthorn Hall opens its gates in the early part of the year on what has come to be known as “Snowdrop Sunday”.  This year was no exception as visitors of all ages strolled through the grounds, enjoying the flowers and, during a brief snow shower, took shelter in the church perusing an interesting display of maps and old photographs.

It was lovely to be outside in the sunshine, sharing the afternoon in good company.
